I was born in the land of Labradors “England”, and grew up with them on my parents riding stables. My mother bred Jack Russels and Labradors until her death in 1984, since then my father has always kept a yellow Lab as a companion.
20 years later my former husband and 3 children bought (saved) my dream, a chocolate labrador “Chocolate Buttons”.
Against all good reasoning we took a really, poorly little dog from Wales back home to Germany with us. He weighed 9 lbs. at 9
weeks, he was full of fleas, had pusy eyes and was in a terrible condition. But like all Lab’s he had that endearing look and was desperate for a good home.
He definately found it.
We all loved him, and loved working. Because he had no papers we decided to train him as a searce and rescue dog. And that he was
with 2 years old! Our biggest problem was that his hips where about as bad as they could be.Due this problem we sadly put him down one week after his 3rd. birthday.
